Translating the video ”Shigesato Itoi Plays Mother2” part 7

Bose's wife: It was a party.
Bose: Yes.
Toda: This isn't a match game but is fun to play with friend.
Bose: It's unexpectedly exciting.
Nagata: Very exciting.
Itoi: Is anyone there who haven't played this?(facing Twitter screen)
Itoi: Is anyone thereeee?
Nagata: There's the time lag.
Bose: Some people may have forgot the story.
Itoi: Everyone, please play this if you haven't played and you like Toda.
Bose: (looking at Twitter) Some people say yes.
Nagata: Saying yes means they haven't?
Itoi: Someone says "Yes, I mean, no."..."I seldom play." This person isn't lying maybe.
Toda: Someone says he or she made fifteen rounds.
Itoi: Ms. Hiromi Kawakami(a writer) has done as often as this person.<3:30:33>
(...)
(Woman: I made four or five rounds.)
Bose: Mother makes many people play it repeatedly.
Itoi: It may be because next part hardly releases.
Bose: You would announce new part would be released and it wouldn't easily.
Nagata: Itoi himself saying it is helpless. ...Please don't.
Itoi: No other games keep fans waiting like ours.(laughing)
Bose: Before Mother3's release, I had been asking Itoi when it'll release every time Imet him, but I stopped asking since one day.
Toda: You cared about him.<3:31:15>
Nagata: When M1+2 released, Bose said "Think about Mother2! Even if we took long time to record our album, we couldn't expect it to be the best."
Bose: Mother2 had been announced to release and was delayed many times so I often told the record company that they could delay our album's release like Mother series.
Itoi: You must not.
Bose: They said no.
Toda: Itoi's case is the exception.
Bose: People would forgive you because Itoi-san delays.<3:31:43>
Itoi: It's not a matter of exception. There was no turning back then.
Bose: I argued there's no difference and I was doing feeling like making Mother2.
Itoi: It wouldn't do. If it would, you could say the same thing when you're an elementary school student and forgot doing your homework.
Bose: Besides I said Mother2 was just the second part and ours was the fourth album.
Itoi: You're boasting. ...Was it when you're recording the album "Scha Dara Gaiden"?
Bose: Yeah. And I argued.<3:32:13>
Bose: Then they said no.
Toda: The development had been progressing but we couldn't prove it clearly because we couldn't give much screenshots or videos. People from game magazine publishers would ask us if they could collect materials on Mother. I stopped them and wrote "Mother Times" page for them. Informations and photographic positives we could show them were fully packed in envelopes and I would send them to publishers...
Itoi: As some presents for them.
Toda: I had the first move.
Bose: Oh.
Itoi: And they put them in the magazines so it's okay. Then when the development was still progressing, Downtown (a comic duo) came to see me for recording a TV show so we used this studio.
Nagata: Oh.
Itoi: They came here. ...They might have this game. ......Well, that did end.
("That was fun.")
Itoi: It might mean just our characters were funny.
(members laughing)
Nagata: Just we're saying funny things.
Itoi: Yes, yes, yes.
Bose: But each viewpoints of us were different. Playing it with friends is quite different from doing it alone repeatedly.
Itoi: Obviously he was enjoying the communications in the game.
Toda: The communications including battles.
Bose: Of course.<3:33:38>
Nagata: Bose was enjoying.
Toda: Itoi-san, either was I.
Bose: To enjoy it more, gathering is necessary.
Toda: (...)
Bose: Being alone would be just sitting. Thinking of balance of recovery and attack...
Itoi: It's the same manner as we play Nobunaga's Ambition.<3:34:04>
Nagata: Oh, it's no problem.
Bose: I'll ask you, Itoi-san, weren't you interested in that manner?
Itoi: Of course I am.
Bose: Yeah.
Itoi: I'm interested in but it's not much fun.
Bose: Really? I would be excited in those strategies.
Nagata: There is no ideal in your idea, Itoi-san.
Bose: Oh.
Itoi: Sakurai-kun, you know as one of Kirby's...more famous, Smash Bros' staffs, said he just have read my scenario to learn about Mother.
Bose: Oh.
Itoi: He said he doesn't have to learn the detail of the series but the stories.<3:34:43>
Toda: Itoi-san directed the battle scene to make the story vivid.
Itoi: I didn't know what to do to hear that.
Toda: The idea of using the drums in the battle was novel.
Itoi: I took part in making it, not only in writing.
Nagata: You didn't interfere in progressing affairs so much, did you?<3:35:00>
Itoi: Yeah, I didn't.
Bose: Sizes of towns and the sense of distance between a town and a dungeon are good.
Nagata: They're best in M2.
Bose: I love them, too.
Itoi: Older-bro-of-Miuras took part in it.
Toda: He hit upon the ideas of drums and so on. He thought of pachinko(pinball)...tama..."tama(ball) system" and did of drums.
Itoi: Or I might have got the idea of tama system and have said how about using drums in gas stations. I agreed to his thought and he agreed to mine. Bro's idea was that there would be the balls of HP at the top of the screen and when you hit the jackpot, the balls would rush jingling. I wanted to give players such a good feeling. So I and he always played pachinko. We got lots of prizes, didn't we?
Toda: I don't know so much.
Itoi: When he was in "Central League", he belonged to "Toda-bu(Toda Club)" so he was actually separated from our "team" and came back to us later.
Toda: To finish the development I traveled on business to HAL Laboratory in Yamanashi Prefecture. In those days we didn't have notebook computers so I put heavy computers on a car I rented, and I ordered lunches and wrote messages and directed to finish making this.
Itoi: Did we start making monopoly game before we finish it?
Toda: Yes. We started when making Mother2 was progressing.
Itoi: All messages in the monopoly SNES game were written by Toda-kun.
Bose: I see.<3:36:51>
Itoi: He made the funny ventriloquist appear in it. I love that game.
Bose: Before finishing making M2...
Toda: Actually we shouldn't make other game at the same time. It's a episode of the development of M2.
Itoi: Mother2's development was stopping.
Nagata: You shouldn't stop it.
Itoi: We let Toda write all the messages alone and we called him Toda-bu as a lonely "team". We would smile bravely by making that condition funny.
Toda: I wondered what Itoi was thinking. All the staffs could do was to call me Toda-bu.
Itoi: As Toda is acting as the first member of Toda-bu, a elementary school student...
Toda: Said he wanted to join me.
Bose: Messages you wrote even attracted him.
Itoi: Monopoly2...oh we made both 1 and 2. They're exciting.
Toda: I came up with characters and wrote their curriculum vitae, and I asked Michio Hisauchi to draw original pictures.<3:38:10>
Toda: I was working on Monopoly in the intervals of the progress of Mother2.
Nagata: A banner in M2 says monopoly is fun.
Itoi: (looking at Twitter screen)"Hey, you're in Toda-bu"...Is this person making fun of you? Is it all right?
Toda: He or she could be my boss.
Itoi: Or might love you so much. ..."I thought you were only a lyric writer."
Bose: Will there be a chance that more monopoly games will be released?
Itoi: Really exciting game.
Nagata: I think there will. They might be going to remake SNES monopoly as a Virtual Console item.
Itoi: Also Toda-kun took part in developing Picross.
Toda: Picross...
Itoi: You didn't? You named it Picross. Today is the day we praise him because he's in Toda-bu.
Bose: They still have been releasing new Picross games. One is for 3DS.
Toda: I just named it.
Itoi: Toda just named it, yes.
Toda: You changed your word.
Nagata: Itoi is joking. Did you name Gameboy?
Itoi: No...or yes?
Toda: Gameboy...
Itoi: I remember I named Gameboy Bros.
Toda: Masayuki-kun named it.
Itoi: Oh.<3:39:00>
Nagata: You're wrong.
Toda: He could mistake because we were a team.
Itoi: I was wrong. ...So what did I do?
Nagata: You made Mother series.
Toda: Mother.
Itoi: You're right. ...Calling making games a job is sort of funny. It amused us.
Toda: Yeah.
Itoi: Today game makers divide a work among them.
Toda: We were working like a team.
Itoi: Like a band?
Toda: Though there would be problems?
Itoi: What?
Bose: You looked like enjoying it. It must be fun. I think alone we're doing as funny as you were.
Itoi: But doing a band looks slighter than making games.
Bose: We don't hurry to make musics.
Itoi: I thought taking it easy was nice.
Bose: Mother2 took five years to be made. Taking five years to make a game would be hard of course. We couldn't work hard like that. Though this was for SNES and took only forty-two megabits, it's fantastic.
Itoi: I understand.
Nagata: When they were making it you visited them, you didn't?
Bose: Yes, I was invited by them. And I played it...by a sort of big machine.
Nagata: A machine of the development.
Itoi: Uh-huh, it looked like a geta(a wooden clog).
Bose: The big one like this was put in SNES and was as big as it, ...
Itoi: It was fun then, too?
Bose: I thought, "here it comes yay!" I felt like I became Link in The Legend Of Zelda (raises his hands and moves them as if clutching something).
Itoi: Many people around me now took part in developing Mother.
Toda: Mother2 staffs are still keeping in touch and go drinking often.
Itoi: That shop called Sugoroku-ya sells card games...no, board games...
Nagata: It's near Koenji station.
Itoi: Its storekeeper Maruta-kun was one of the programmers of Mother2.<3:41:02>
Bose: Yeah.
Nagata: He was the second director. And he entered Spike Chunsoft. When they make Shiren The Wanderer, you worked together.
Toda: Then we made Homeland. One day, he announced that he'd start a store of non-electric games. They don't need electricity.
Itoi: Non-electric game...
Bose: Ordinary games need no electricity.
Itoi: You're right.
Toda: The store is maniac and it stocks a variety of games, but has good atmosphere and families try items.
Itoi: It's like a European store.
Nagata: It sells foreign games.
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen)He says it's a inside story of staffs.
(...)
Itoi: Oh, he says about "Mr. Saturn Book" and the book "Treasure Chest Of Secret(a strategy guide)". Nagata-kun attended the meeting of them.
Nagata: I attended Mr. Saturn Book's.
Itoi: And we decided to throw in stuffed Mr. Saturn.
Nagata: Yes. ...We crushed him.
Itoi: We decided to vacuum-seal him in a plastic package. People in Enter Brain are...
Nagata: Merciless.
Itoi: "People in Enter Brain are merciless" was the copy I wrote.<3:42:20>
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen)He has one.
Nagata: It's not in stores now. ...Some people have it.
Itoi: If we didn't mention they were "merciless", vacuum-sealing it would be just merciless.
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen)"People in Enter Brain are merciless." ...Yes, yes.
Bose: Everyone remembers me well too.
Itoi: They love you poet. It's the poets' age.
Toda: A timid poet.
Itoi: A careful and timid poet.
Nagata: (looks at Twitter screen)"A sloppy poet."
Itoi: Is it me? ...Do you want to ask me something? Uncle me will answer it. No weird question. ...Oh, they got quiet.
Bose: Everyone might think each of them knows about Mother best while we were playing.
Itoi: Yeah.
Bose: They tried to remind us of something missing. They know about the game better than us.
Toda: They saw Ness walking and got a little impatient.
Bose: Like "The hotel is that way!"
Itoi: Like "Run with button B!"
Toda: The timeline runs fast.
Itoi: Mother4 won't release. I declare it.
Nagata: He declares many a time.
Itoi: I declare it many a time so I'm declaring now. Ugh, I can't read them all. "Imagine and go to bed(Kuuso shitekara nete kudasai)" (Bandai Namco's copy. "Kuuso" is the Japanese for "imagine" and it's similar to the Japanese "kuso" that means "shit". So it's usually said "Shit and go to bed(kuso shite nero; Of course it's rough words).")wasn't my copy. Aki-kun wrote it. Different game's copy. ...Mr. Iwata? This face...
Toda: Oh.
Nagata: "Then release Mother5."
Toda: We can't release M4 so he asked us for M5.
Nagata: We have never heard the request.
Itoi: There may be M5.
Toda: In Japanese hotel, there is no room number including 4.
Nagata: You're joking.
Bose: Wow! Good. It's funny.
Nagata: It's because 4 is the unlucky number.(4 is pronounced "shi" in Japan and shi means death)
Itoi: I agree. I could die if we began making Mother5.
Toda: Someone could be the storyteller. In roukyoku style.
Itoi: You say I tell you a story and you make it.
Nagata: He wants to know about Moonside.
Itoi: Toda tried to be bad boy to describe it. I had a concept of it, but Toda described most of its outlook.
Toda: I saw the party gathered and screen got a bug. It looked like a negative of Fourside.
Itoi: We decided it at first.
Toda: I imagined from screen having a bug and tried to make the city, and Tanaka-san sent us its music and the city became more weird. Itoi-san did other part and let me break the city.
Itoi: I said he could break down it.<3:45:20>
Nagata: I see.
Toda: I remember I did it freely.
Bose: You got the bug and the idea occurred.
Toda: Ohyama-san said so. The collision was a mess and Ness couldn't walk through where we thought he could.
Itoi: If I described the world all, Moonside was like a page of wrongness in my book. It was what I agreed. Toda-kun described what I didn't imagine.
Nagata: And Moonside was ready.
Itoi: I felt like saying "No...no...OH YES!" it's so nice.
Bose: We could feel so when we're a team.
Nagata: Like a jam.
Itoi: A phrase should be played with guitar but it might be interesting with bass guitar. Seeing changes like it is fun.
Bose: I agree.
Itoi: Moonside was special. We found we're going to finish and thought we could do it.
Bose: The idea flashed into your minds in the latter half of the development?
Toda: Moonside...
Itoi: After Toda-kun joined us.
Toda: I was mentioned a bar and another world.
Bose: We knew the meaning of the word psychedelic when we're adult. The same can be said. Mother includes the element like this. We played video games in our childhood and enjoyed them, and we noticed lots of something important when we became around twenty.
Itoi: Players in their childhood tend to think they and their heroes are full of justice. And I, as an adult and game creater, wanted to make them doubt it.<3:47:28>
Itoi: Adventure stories aren't supposed to make players doubt themselves. But players would have to let Starmen...I mean, Flying Men die and you'd feel like you were blamed by the heaven. I wanted to make players feel it. As an adult.
Nagata: We would steal in that self-service shop...
Itoi: Twoson. That is this side of Happy Happy Village. I like to describe things like that. Children who played this would doubt about feeling good and whether justice is justice.
Nagata: If you conclude your thought, this is an underground game. And that climax is heavy.
Bose: It's great.<3:48:28>
Itoi: Maybe I wanted to describe gathering powers in it. It's based on self-sacrifice and devoting someone's life.
Nagata: In climax.
Itoi: I like doing things like that and I enjoyed that work. I wouldn't know what to do if I was asked to describe the story by writing a novel. It's theatrical, so I was happy to find I could do theatrical by making games. It was fun to write a world of popular songs.<3:49:14>
Itoi: If you Scha Dara Parr wanted to sing lyrics like a popular song, you couldn't, I think. But if you use a form of it, you could.
Nagata: Boogie Back resembles it.
Bose: I have had ideas like a popular song but I can't sing it. There are many unused ideas like it.
Itoi: In that situation we would want to produce them.
Bose: Sometimes I want to let someone sing a song of a certain theme. When I see cute and popular little girl singing faltering on TV, I'd think it would be fun to see her singing sly thing. We try to get the ideas of songs but if I sang them, they would be XXX(I'm not sure what he was saying) as usual. I said "I wish a famous girl sang it faltering, it would make me cry, ha ha." Ideas like it often hits upon me. And this game showed the feeling of it.
Itoi: Maybe because I'm an old man, I want to make our fundamentals sad. I like the sadness.
Nagata: (...)
Toda: When I make Pokemon songs...
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen) The timeline is stopping running.
Toda: You talked about writing theatrical messages. Tanaka-san understood me and made anime songs. In old days I watched the TV anime like Devil Man or Kyojin No Hoshi, and I heard their heroes saying theatrical things straightly and I was impressed, I can write such things now as anime song lyrics. And I happened to add sadness to them.
Itoi: I might have influenced you. It's the sadness to be born and die. We can't avoid it and say it's happy to be born and die. We can't say life is fun. We have the sadness to part with and the happiness to meet.
Nagata: Everyone has such feelings but you declare there is the sadness in our basis.
Itoi: I declare it. The happiness or the kindness follows it. The sadness was Mother's basis so I wanted to make it funny. I thought it's better than emphasizing the sadness.
Bose: A very popular song would describe a interesting world but it shows a sadness seemingly and I'd be disappointed.
Itoi: Uh-huh.
Bose: I wish it were a real sadness...
Itoi: In old days I told Bose-kun about "sadness corner" in rental shops.
Bose: Oh, You did!
(...)
Itoi: And I heard him saying he agreed for the first time when I talked with him.
Bose: I understood it then. I wonder why there is sadness corner in rental shops' videos. Why did we have to choose sad video on purpose? Itoi-san said we could choose sad one as well as choosing one of gunfight. I was interested in his thought.<3:53:03>
Itoi: Video corner is a mixture of failed works and succeeded works. And I think "Here It comes!" It's a humble matter but I was interested in the discovery.
Bose: You found it interesting and...
Itoi: It interested you.
Bose: Indeed.
Itoi: After that some people understand it, so we can say such feeling today.
Bose: Yes.
Nagata: It's usual today. We see a list of top 10 movies that make us cry.
Itoi: Sometimes it doesn't matter whether a movie is good and I rent a badly-made sad movie just to cry. It doesn't matter. A movie's horror element may be well-made but all of it may be badly-made. Some people can make a sad movie as if they knew what would make us sad and it's good one. I was interested in it and it moved me these days. It's difficult to make people laugh.
Bose: Yes.
Itoi: Some people hate a certain soft gag. They couldn't stand it.
Nagata: It's easy for people to laugh when we don't try to make them laugh.
Itoi: Yes.
Nagata: Though Mother2 made them laugh, you hadn't tried to make them laugh. Gag isn't on main route.
Itoi: We would find funny things when the hero is walking as usual. If they didn't laugh at them, there would be nothing we could. And we would just fail. Toda-kun failed more than I. I really enjoy a gag which is not categorized.
("He likes it.")
Itoi: Nagata-kun said some gags I found it funny weren't categorized. But Toda had suggested one which was more difficult to categorize and would say it's not bad, and I'd be angry.
Bose: What he wanted to do was different from what you wanted to do.<3:55:13>
Bose: Reconciling your ideas was difficult.
Itoi: So, as I see Twitter, he's a man of uncategorized gags. Especially old days.
Toda: When we were making M2, we lodged at Itoi's home to come up with ideas of zombies. It was so kind or him to make coffee for us. We suggested ideas of zombies each other. I suggested "Powder Zombie" and it was out of the point.
Itoi: Yes, you did.
Toda: I couldn't catch the point.
Bose: You suggested ideas.
Toda: We suggested ideas of many zombies.
Bose: Powder Zombie?
Itoi: It was like powder.
Toda: Our senses of decision were different.
Bose: Decision of whether you adopted or not.
Itoi: Now we know we won't adopt Powder Zombie.
Toda: Yes.
Nagata: You said yes to the idea of Dungeon Man.
Itoi: Yes, I did. How did we come up with the idea? I might have said it's brilliant idea when we were at a sort of dubious place.<3:56:14>
Nagata: I heard of it.
Itoi: And Toda-kun wrote messages on the banners in Dungeon Man.
Toda: There would be professional to make the maze but I did everything I could. I drew it on graph paper, and wrote messages of banners and drew ropes, so I was once called Dungeon Man.
Nagata: I see.
Toda: But Dungeon Man...Will it be a spoiler? It's a horror Itoi-san thought it was.
Nagata: I agree it was.
Toda: It's a tower.
Itoi: When I came up with it, I wanted to tell staffs desperately. And when I did, they asked me what he would be like.
Nagata: His body becomes a dungeon.
Toda: His face...
Nagata: Appears in the dungeon.
Itoi: I kind of knew his face would be there. I just wished they made him as a dungeon.
Toda: The horror was also jocular. I had the same feeling as I read Itoi's book I Hate Lies. I like it and when Ohyama-san told me about Dungeon Man, and I asked him to let me have a try at it.
Itoi: I was happy when I came up with the idea of Dungeon Man. There were lots of ideas like it. Lost Underworld... We discussed representation of it and we came up with the idea that bla bla bla...
Nagata: You didn't speak it clearly.
Itoi: I said we could, oh I repeated it, do bla bla bla...
Bose: We were surprised at the representation.
Itoi: I was happy I could express what I wanted. By words.
Bose: We understood you immediately.<3:58:18>
Itoi: I usually told my thought to Mr. Ohyama. I told him or Older-Bro-Of-Miuras and they were surprised.
Bose: They didn't get it immediately.
Toda: Bro agreed and Ohyama considered. He's prudent.
Bose: He doubted whether it'd be all right.
Nagata: The same can be said of Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shimbun. Once we knew our responsibility to carry out the duty when we decided what to do.
Bose: You felt something would be wrong.
Nagata: We'd be in trouble with it.<3:58:41>
Bose: You decided to try but...
Nagata: You had to decide whether you continue it or not.
Toda: Many of Mother staffs had same problem.
Itoi: Indeed when we made the climax.
Nagata: And you chose a difficult way and the game became more interesting.
Bose: You got a difficulty of the capacity of this.
Toda: One which seemed easy was found to be difficult, and another which seemed difficult was found to be easy.
Itoi: I think it usually happens. I remember it. I couldn't imagine whether a problem would be solved or not, but we just had to solve it. We shouldn't take it as a risk. Today we're doing in the same way.<3:59:34>
Itoi: It was a problem when I forgot the policy. I was unmotivated when I found the risk.
Nagata: You say Mother4 won't release because you came to a conclusion as an extension of the thought.
Itoi: I can imagine myself when I was motivated and when I wasn't. I can't manage to go on such work now.
Nagata: Maybe that's the reason why Mother4 won't release.
Itoi: I can't be that reckless now, but I want someone to be reckless if he wanted to inherit Mother series. And he should make wordplay neatly. I have never seen other video games including wordplay these days. I hope someone have been trying to make them. Sometimes I heard of a game similar to ours and I would be interested in it, but it wasn't.<4:00:42>
Itoi: But Animal Crossing is. Indeed.
Bose: Yeah.
Itoi: Cheerful ladies appear in it and they know they would be weirder than other villagers.
Bose: Yes. And we'd want to play it endlessly, and ladies continue retorting.
Itoi: I think AC's staffs are a great team after all.
Bose: Yes, they are. AC's similar to Mother series.
Itoi: That company has such people like AC's staffs besides Mario team and Zelda team. It's just amazing. I want to try to be Nintendo's president.
Nagata: Owing to the people, we can play them.
Bose: Exactly.
Itoi: The creation would be a headache to them. Also it's like heartburn.
Bose: Actually it's not funny.
Itoi: They do have saved money. A team who did a project perfectly must fail next time. There would be other difficulties, like about the cost.
Bose: What a hard matter.
Itoi: We'd hear the news of Americans' anger...oh good grief.
Bose: Many Americans don't understand Nintendo's greatness. Especially American companies don't. Maybe we can't explain it.
Itoi: So, we have things to do tomorrow and we'll finish this.
Nagata: Yes. What will we do in the end?
Itoi: As you like, if you want to do something.
Toda: (looking at Twitter screen)"Mr. Saturn's size..."
Bose: Size...
Itoi: Mr. Saturn is smaller than most of you think he is.
Nagata: How small do you think he is?
Itoi: (pointing to the stuffed Mr. Saturn)Two thirds of that.
Bose: This small creature.
Itoi: It can't be known much. I made it difficult to know. Art is great because it's vague.
Bose: Yeah.
Itoi: If I told you about it in detail, it's like a identification mannual.
Bose: It explains all.
Itoi: So, do understand!
Bose: His size isn't a matter.
Itoi: Someone would say "I have such great tools, but why it can't work when I made it?" Because it's art. Other one would say "if you let me know tools I should use, I'll make the same thing." This thought is too mechanical.
Bose: Yeah.
Itoi: Is a reproduction of Picasso's picture his work? We can know hardly what is different from original work. That's why an art is great.
Bose: I think if you make something like Mother, It may not be a video game.
Itoi: Me, too.
Nagata: Uh-huh.
Bose: We may find funny things resembling Mother. Like novels.
Itoi: I run Hobo-Nikkan Itoi Shimbun and it's almost one of Mother series. I think it's all right, but if you want something called Mother4, let's call it Mother4.
Bose: I agree. We can call it so indeed.
Itoi: Anything which appears in it is more than Mother.
Bose: The Rolling Stones still performs in their concert. We wonder how awesome they are when we see them.
Itoi: They are wizards.
Bose: It's like they're making Mother15.
Itoi: They're making funny things too.
Bose: Yes.
Nagata: Eikichi Yazawa said The Rolling Stones still performs not because of money, but they don't want to die.<4:04:44>
Itoi: Yeah.
Bose: They aren't normal people and can do something special.
Itoi: Paul McCartney is energetic, too. Awesome. And he easily performs and sings their songs as they did.
Nagata: He sings John's song, too.
Itoi: Uh-huh. I think Paul's marvelous.
Bose: Maybe he's most marvelous in the Beatles.<4:05:08>
Itoi: I repeated the word.
Bose: Maybe he's strong enough for it.
Itoi: He may have tough soul or guts...
Bose: His tough movement surprises us.
Itoi: Stones of the other day...
Bose: Men in their seventies do that. Incredible. Are we going to be like them or let Mother be Hobo-Nikkan?
Toda: Itoi-san had a lot of things to do and each stories concluded. Mother1 concluded, M2 concluded, and we made M3 and it's different from M1 and M2. It's said M1 and M2 describes everything in his mind. Each stories concluded so Mother won't continue. We aren't The Rolling Stones.
Itoi: I wanted to make other game. I remade it in Mother's style. I wanted it to be like a hard-boiled novel. I made it as Mother3. Since we placed the picture of the earth on Mother's logotype so the representation was limited. We couldn't place the earth when we made a just hard-boiled thing. Should it be a shape of spotlight?
Bose: It shouldn't be earth-shaped.
Itoi: Yeah.
Bose: (...)
Itoi: I have been embarrassed, XXX(I'm not sure what he was saying).
Nagata: Another earth.
Bose: I want to see it.<4:06:59>
Itoi: Nagata-san mentioned it.
Bose: Mother fans continue saying they want Mother4 and to hear we sing I Miss You again. It concluded.
Nagata: In some way they made Mother3, and they made us make it.
Itoi: Yes.
Nagata: They encouraged us to do rather than Itoi-san wanted to make it personally.
Itoi: It was a series of sketch comedies. And I pierced the dumplings of comedies with a skewer(connected the sketch comedies). When I made Mother2, I didn't have the same feeling. Well, my manner changed because my child grew up, I think. Our generation went around and if I was a other animal I must die already.
Nagata: When Mother2 was released, RPG was a lively entertainment and it wasn't when M3 was released. Scales and variety in computer games have changed.
Itoi: Yeah.<4:08:05>
Itoi: Its role as a media has changed.
Nagata: If we think about M4, we find Animal Crossing can take the place of it. AC is suitable for our demand of realistic games.
Itoi: Yes.
Bose: Some time ago we joked about it. It must be so cool if I see a train approaching Onett. Sometimes I wish it came true.
Itoi: Some people bought M2 in Virtual Console these days and it's not my exploit so I'm not Stones.
Bose: I agree.
Itoi: I'm not supposed to say, but I think Mother series is more interesting than other games if we compare them today.
Bose: As if Mother was new type of games.
Itoi: There are no irresponsibly written or same messages.
Bose: History of game music is not long. Musics in 30's or 40's are great and people have been still enjoying them. We listen to 40's jazz as usual, so the same can be said of game music. Twenty years after the release of Mother2, people could enjoy it if they try it for the first time. Today is the times.
Itoi: We can play Mother without explanation.<4:09:33>
Itoi: We don't have to tell people about existence of black telephones.
Bose: Yes.
Itoi: It's alright today. Some things that appear in rakugo are disappearing.
Bose: We have to explain about them.
Itoi: Many people don't know about Hettsui Yurei(Stove Ghost) in rakugo. If I have to try to explain the meaning of it, I can.
Nagata: Maybe you have to replace it with other thing.
Itoi: I have to explain Hettsui(Stove) to them.
Bose: Button X may disappear in the future.
Nagata: Yes.
Bose Future people could wonder what it was.
Itoi: We must not use it as a essential point.<4:10:03>
Bose: We can explain Hettsui cooked delicious meal.
Itoi: We can change the words of tools.
Toda: Twenty years after the release, Many people remember Mother2 as well as classical rakugo stories.
Bose: Indeed.
Toda: After a while a comic backchat becomes less popular.
Bose: Comedy that is really funny is different from the one that's not.
Toda: Mother has lots of short comedies and its core resembles rakugo of human welfare. It gets old very slowly.
Itoi: Getting old slowly proves it's unusual game. We get to know other games are getting old, and I forgot Mother is getting old. Maybe we happened to live in the pause of our civilization.
Nagata: Yeah.
Itoi: We could feel much time going by if we felt evolution of our culture. But electric rice-cooker is still electric rice-cooker. It hasn't changed yet.
Bose: Saying "19XX" is symbolic of Mother.
Itoi: It's just a number.
Bose: We don't have the sense of describing the world as "20XX" today.<4:11:22>
Itoi: It's matter of people. It's just matter of how people make something interesting.
Nagata: This event hardly finishes but there's someone who must care herself...
Bose: Yes.
Itoi: Your wife?
Bose: My wife.
Itoi: Your wife.
Bose: She's going to have a baby.
Nagata: Thank you very much, I had a good time.
Itoi & Bose: Me, too.
Bose: Thank you, it was fun.
(members clapping)
Bose: Exciting.
Itoi: Oh.(looks at Twitter screen) There are many people still watching us.
Toda: Awesome.
Itoi: They had stopped tweeting to watch us.
Toda: The timeline runs faster than before?
Bose: Yes. It's fast.
Nagata: Very fast.
Toda: Fast.
Itoi: They didn't tweet so much because they listened our conversations.
Bose: It was fun.
Itoi: It was good for Iwata-san to say we could do something for the twentieth anniversary of Mother2's release.
Nagata: The twentieth anniversary.
Itoi: It may sound as if we're tightfisted, but we needed almost no money to do this. The fact that we could enjoy a event like this free is great. I'm delighted to see such a time have come round. I could say I wouldn't welcome our games being old if I was one of software house people in the old days. I'm just glad to have held a event like this.
Nagata: I see. Thank you very much.
Itoi & Bose: Thank you.
Nagata: Abe-chan, turn the volume down.
Itoi: We had a good time. Many people are greeting us.<4:13:13>

Translating the video ”Shigesato Itoi Plays Mother2” part 6

Bose: Here's the bakery.
Toda: He dabbles in stocks?
Itoi: He doesn't.
Nagata: This shop sells different foods.
Bose: Lucky Sandwich...
Nagata: Recovers PP(*actually HP).
Bose: Yes.
Itoi: Recovery of PP is not bad.
(...)
Bose: A hamburger could recover more.
Itoi: There're many tweets saying "I have nothing but money."
Bose: That's not a kind of what Ness would say.
(...)
Toda: If anything, Mayor B. H. Pirkle would.<3:00:38>
Nagata: Ness has B. H. Pirkle's heart.
Itoi: It's no matter whether Ness would say or not, that's true. So we can use Ness' voice to say it. "(in higher voice)I have nothing but money!"
Nagata: His voice is not like it.
Toda: It's Micky Mouse's. ...I'll tell you about sort of joke material. When Ness goes to Summers, please try to let him stand in front of the hotel's entrance and turn him to you, so you could see him putting Micky Mouse's ears on his head with the knobs.
Nagata: They did it on purpose?
Toda: No, they didn't. I discovered it as a player
Bose: Eek!
Nagata: It's like the episode of Hokkaido-shaped ground. It's not a episode of the development, it is? The episode of a player.
Toda: Once I thought I could receive guavas tickets, but gave up the idea of mailing it to Famitsu magazine because I'm one of the development staffs.
(*Gavas is a currency unit of a imaginary story and is the coupon tickets you can get in Famitsu readers' column when your letter appeared in it. So you can get game machine, software, or accessories with them)<3:01:41>
Itoi: If it were the episode of development, it was too small.
Bose: It's just a joke material.
(...)
Itoi: That twitterer fools us. I think I had seen that doorknob.
Bose: Eat the cookies? ...And we'll buy two humburgers.
Itoi: I could even let a crow eat that cookies.
Bose: I'll buy one more humburger.
Itoi: We don't have to buy full of humburgers.
Bose: We'll finish shopping.
Itoi: But Nagata-kun said we should buy full. ...Goods window is covered with humburgers.
Nagata: You can deposit money at the drugstore.
Itoi: Deposit.
Bose: We'll make the purse empty.<3:02:34>
Itoi: It's funny.
Toda: Ness' backpack is jam-packed with humburgers.
Nagata: I'll deposit 398 dollars.
Itoi: Eek.
Bose: 0"yen". We have no coin.
Nagata: (pointing to the screen)Telephone! We forgot to call Dad and save! ...We need just one dollar.
Bose: Yes. One dollar.
Nagata: I mistook.
Bose: We mistook.
Nagata: It's lucky for us not to have to pay a charge. That phone is green and needs a coin.
Itoi: You're careless.
Bose: We mistook.
Nagata: Now we have no money.
Itoi: You two are Careless Brothers.
Toda: It's loose style of playing. ...And it's like we have a few coins in our pockets.
Nagata: It was about to turn out just as the developers wished.
(...)
Itoi: I'm surprised that Onett could be interesting like this because I had thought it was the dullest town.
Toda: You had thought it was the dullest?
Bose: Onett is not dull. It's the most exciting town.
Itoi: Think, it'll be a long journey and we have no memory in this game right now.
Toda: The party has only one member.
Itoi: Only one. ...Where's here?
Bose: Where's he?<3:03:50>
Itoi: Here he is. ...There's one more crow. The dullest town Onett... ...Well, that house in the point overlooking the sea...
Toda: It's in the southwest.
Itoi: In Onett, isn't it?
Toda: Nagata-san, that point...
Itoi: An estate agent would cheat us. I love to visit that house.<3:04:21>
Itoi: To go there, do we have to clear here?
("Maybe we have to go further.")
Bose: We raised his level.
Itoi: But I remember the place is in Onett.
(...)
Itoi: And I remember Ness has happened to have a Cold Remedy.
Bose: A Cold Remedy...
Nagata: We have got it from a gift box.
Itoi: After all even a mouse has to live fairly.
Bose: Rowdy Mouse...
Itoi: (singing) We have to live fairly...<3:04:59>
Itoi: The Red-Nosed Mouse. ...I think this game is the mixture of Mother1 and M3.
Bose: M2 resembles both M1 and M3.
Itoi: Climbing a rope.
Bose: We're caught by lots of enemies.
Itoi: Indeed there're a lot.
Nagata: We're hit by one point.
Bose: It's good because Ness immediately becomes stronger.
Itoi: Was this sound composed by Tanaka-kun?
Toda: Yes.
Nagata: The sounds of moving a cursor are different by virtue of directions. The further cursor goes, the higher or lower the pitch would be.
Itoi: (facing Twitter screen)So please admire Nagata's great knowledge by analyzing this. It's like an explanation of batting of Ibata in Yomiuri Giants. I have been supported by dependable people like Nagata.
(...)
Itoi: (watching Twitter screen)He's not Ibata but Nagata. ...Yes, Nagasawa.<3:06:52>
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen)"Ibata is so great." Is he?
(......)
Itoi: Adding systems and taking them from this. Adding and taking, buying and selling. YOU COME BUYING? YOU CAN SELL, TOO. I, MR. SATURN.
Bose: I give up this cookies.
Itoi: That song "I Give Up A Hope Of A Summer And" by Naoko Ken.
(...)
Itoi: Black Antoids are...
Bose: Strong.
Itoi: Are they a sort of robots?
Bose: What were they?
Nagata: They weren't driven crazy by Giygas and belong to the space.<3:08:07>
Itoi: Which coffee?
Nagata: You're thinking carefully.
Bose: If you got cookies later I would have to give up them so I let him drink this coffee now. ...My wife is laughing.
Toda: Bose is right.
Itoi: Yes, he is. But he's funny, isn't he? (facing Bose's wife)
Bose: Look! We got the cookies!
Nagata: Having drunk coffee was right!
Bose: Gotcha!
Itoi: Indeed he's funny.
Bose: And he'll eat the cookies.
Itoi: If I was a young woman, I might marry him. I'd think marrying him could be fun.
Nagata: Above here is "Hokkaido". ...He's around Kushiro City.
Bose: He's in Sapporo.
Nagata: He's around Nemuro. ...Is his PP full? Will he use PSI Rockin' at the first turn?
Toda: It's like a meeting.
Nagata: It'll be a home run in our opening game.
Bose: In the pitcher's first pitch.
Toda: "...If you can."
Itoi: Here it comes, Hokkaido!
Nagata: In the opening game.
Itoi: The first pitch.
Toda: In Sapporo Dome.
Bose: If he received much damage...
Nagata: It's alright.<3:09:31>
Bose: (Black Antoids are beaten)So this battle became easy to fight.
Itoi: Won't their companion come?
Nagata: We hit him by twelve points of damage.
Bose: Ah... He's strong.
Nagata: Ness can be hit once more. ...Titanic Ant used PSI Magnet!
Bose: Ness wasted his PP!
Nagata: Will you use PSI Rockin' again?
Bose: Disappointing!
Nagata: Let's use it.
Bose: He's unexpectedly strong.
Toda: Humburger.
Bose: He did Defense down...strong.
Itoi: Defense fell by one point.
(...)
Bose: He should have bought something able to recover PP.<3:10:33>
Nagata: We'll buy it next time.
Bose: Come on! You think we're going to be beaten!
Itoi: We aren't.
Bose: Well, it's hard.
Nagata: A humburger.
Itoi: Won't this ant try to attack him while he's eating?
Bose: Very hard.
Nagata: We'll give him a hit.
(defeats Titanic Ant)
Itoi: Yes!
Bose: We did it!
(members clapping)
Bose: It was a crisis.
Itoi: His experience points are raised by 759.
Bose: A home run.
Nagata: His HP is twenty-six.
Bose: His level is raised.
Itoi: (looks at Twitter screen)Look!
Bose: They're clapping.
Nagata: Viewers feel refreshed.
Itoi: In the dullest town Onett.
Bose: It's the most exciting!
Nagata: Yeah.
Bose: Viewers are watching developers.
(...)
(Ness eats a humburger)
Bose: It's a standard move!
Nagata: Bose thought something may happen.
Itoi: You thought it's not over.
(...)
Itoi: This brightness means it's all right.
Nagata: Good music.
Itoi: Sound Stone.<3:11:55>
Bose: There, listen. ...Moratta(He got it)!
Itoi: Morota(He got it). (in Kansai dialect)
Nagata: It moves me.
Toda: "He saw a vision of a little shaggy dog..."
Bose: Shaggy dog...
Nagata: Could I take the word "muku-inu(shaggy dog)" as a word of a poet?
Itoi: Is it an irony?
Nagata: I said it sincerely.
Itoi: Yeah. ...It's a view of a young boy. ...Twitterers are happy.
Nagata: I wish we could pause here.
Toda: Katte kaifuku no humburger(Don't forget to eat a humburger for recovery even after a victory)...I mean, katte kabuto no(Don't let your guard down even after a victory).
(*Whole passage of the proverb: Katte kabuto no o o simeyo)
Itoi: Maybe Toda-kun is a bad poet.
Toda: I composed.
Itoi: (watching Twitter screen)"You should tie the straps of your helmet(kabuto) tightly no matter whether you won or put it on."<3:12:55>
Itoi: (watching Twitter screen)"I think Ness doesn't have a vocabulary to say muku-inu."
Bose: After all it's a difficult word.
Itoi: (looks at Twitter)"A bad poet..."
Bose: And we got to know the reason to explore here.
Nagata: He has to walk to get out.
Itoi: There're still ants.
Bose: He got strong.
Itoi: Enemies run away.
Nagata: Don't go there. Slugs.<3:13:27>
Bose: Alright. Every enemies run away.
Itoi: Good.
Nagata: Go there.
Itoi: Ohh. ...Giant Step!
Bose: Every enemies run away.
Itoi: It's a kind system to let them run away.
Bose: He got strong...he's going west...
Itoi: That motion of running enemies is fantastic. ...They run at wharf roaches' speed rather than ants'.
Bose: (chasing a mouse)Running, running, running away...
Itoi: It gets in his way to fight with him?
(got out of the dungeon to see a policeman)
Bose: Oh!
Itoi: ...Oh. ...We're leaping out of the frying pan into the fire.<3:14:26>
Bose: "Couldn't you read..." No, I could. ...Oh.
Nagata: Come see me later!
Itoi: Oh...Well... ...Itinerants. (got Travel Charm) It's a relief.
Bose: We should have got it.
Nagata: It's a regret.
Itoi: We hadn't spoken to them! ...Why?
Nagata: We had spoken once but we should have again after we unlocked the hut.
Itoi: Yes, yes. They have remained there.
Nagata: You should choose the command "equip".
Itoi: It's a regret.<3:15:06>
Bose: And...here it is! (equips Travel Charm)
Nagata: A regret.
Itoi: We have happened to bungle.
Bose: Indeed.
(...)
Itoi: If his dad is at home...
Bose: Ness would be in ease.
Nagata: If Ness' dad were the member and lived at home, he would have to go home willy-nilly.
Itoi: Today there are viewers, ...
Nagata: We couldn't keep them waiting.
Itoi: So we had showed the viewers we had been beaten. We had showed we weren't strong.<3:15:49>
Bose: Does he have to go home?
Nagata: He does, actually. (...)...We would go home regularly.
Bose: Where will we go?
Itoi: The police?
Nagata: You should save it.
Toda: Yes.
Itoi: Saves Leader.
Nagata: Yes.
Bose: "Yes."
Toda: Yes.
Nagata: We have no money.
Bose: Yeah. ...We have to withdraw money.
Itoi: I guess you're about to withdraw one dollar.
Nagata: It wouldn't bother us when we are alone.
Bose: I'll withdraw three dollars.
Nagata: Great! Or ten.
Bose: I decided to do three.
Itoi: (looking at Twitter screen and stammering with laugh)"I-I'm surprised!" "The hotel's phone is free."
Nagata: Going home is even better.
Itoi: Many viewers have same opinion.
Nagata: They're right.
(...)
Toda: (looking at Twitter screen)"Nagata is a serious person."..."He is tightfisted."...Which is his real opinion?<3:17:02>
(...)
Bose: And...and...
Itoi: Go to Beak Point?
Nagata: Can we go there now?
Itoi: We can, let's go! It's in south.
Nagata: South, and west...
Itoi: Go to southwest. ...There'll be the banner of the estate agent. Let's go further.
Bose: (...)
Itoi: We can go further to south. ...Go further. Go by the hospital.
Toda: We don't arrive there.
Nagata: We had better talk to him.
Itoi: See!
Bose: He's talking about it.
Itoi: That's it. To go there, I've been risking his life.
Bose: Really?
Itoi: I love there...
Bose: "I wish I could be jilted in such a seascape..."
Itoi: I do, indeed.
Nagata: He's Itoi-san, too. ...We go to west?
Itoi: Yes.
(...)
Nagata: I got it.
Bose: (looking at a banner)What is it saying?! Nonsense. It's being stupid.
Toda: The doctor's name Bush is...
Itoi: "Yabu(A quack, also means thicket)" in English.
Bose: I see.
Itoi: I wrote such a message and players would laugh, and I would ask them what they say "bush" in Japanese.<3:18:18>
Nagata: "Even if you were poor, have your second house!"
Toda: Beak Point, yes.
Itoi: "Eagle" of Eagleland has a beak-shaped point. It's just like that conversation of Hokkaido.
Bose: No, no, no...he suggested suddenly. ...Answer no?
Itoi: I got it. ...Oh I can't...
Nagata: Buy the house yet.
Itoi: Oh, that man.
Nagata: Training for the trumpet.
Itoi: One of jilted men. ...Is he going to be with his girlfriend?
Nagata: Maybe he'll play the trumpet.
Bose: Here it comes! ...Well, this is Tooki Yama Ni Hi Wa Ochite(The Sunset In Distant Mountain).
Itoi: The man who would get married later must be in Mother3. That trumpet man wouldn't. After all we couldn't buy the house unless we have much money.<3:19:28>
Nagata: It'll be available as the story would go on.
(...)
Itoi: Remember, everyone. You need to buy that house to read that novel.
(...)
Itoi: (looking at Twitter screen)"Shoo, shoo." "It's a secret."
(...)
Itoi: The police!
Bose: That policeman told him to go there. ..."You saucy boy!"
(The policeman explains about the word "KEEP OUT")
Itoi: ...Yeah.
Bose: Nice.
Itoi: "Nag nag... Nag nag..."
Bose: Everlasting.
Nagata: I remember he would continue.
Bose: "Nag nag..." Its funny.
Toda: It's long even though it's abbreviated.
(...)
Bose: (answering the question)Yes.
Itoi: Ahhh. ...Ahhh.
Bose: It begins?
Nagata: We're not ready.
Itoi: I think it's not too difficult. It's not hard.
Nagata: Did you save?
Bose: Yes.
Nagata: We're timid.
Itoi: Yes, he did.
Bose: We had two dollars and used one to save so even if we're beaten, we would lose only one dollar.
Nagata: If money would be halved, there would be one dollar left.
Bose: It's alright.
Itoi: Yeah. ...Alright. ...If we had made it too difficult in the beginning, I would be hated by players.
Bose: It surprises us.<3:21:45>
Nagata: It does.
Bose: We would be in a crisis if we haven't saved.
Nagata: We're lucky to be timid.
Bose: Yeah.
Itoi: How about calling Bose "A Timid Poet"?
Nagata: A Timid Poet...
(...)
Itoi: Well, they are just doing their duty.
Nagata: Yes.
Itoi: The policemen don't have ill will. ..."Slapping Chop."<3:22:12>
Nagata: The policemen who'll come later would be stronger.
Bose: A stronger policeman confronts him already.
Nagata: Will we use PSI?
Itoi: Attack.
(...)
Bose: Good.
Itoi: And three more policemen.
(...)
Bose: "Jigoku-gatame...(a professional wrestling attack)" ...Yes!
Itoi: It's not a fight.
Nagata: But a training.
(The last policeman left the room without fighting)
Itoi: Here it comes! Hooray!
Toda: It's a service.
Itoi: "I'm too weak to join you."
Bose: How strong is he?
Itoi: He is little strong.
Bose: Ah! Wait...
Nagata: A damage by twenty-six.
(...)
Itoi: He's in crisis. ...No.
Nagata: When his HP goes under fifty, we must recover him.<3:23:47>
Bose: The Captain is strong.
Nagata: Will you use PSI Rockin'?
Bose: Yes. ...Cool. Yes.
(defeats Captain Strong)
Bose: The parameter greatly went up.
Itoi: And the captain would do the thing and let the thing do the thing...
Bose: He can do that.
(Captain calls)
Bose: I see. ...This is how...
Toda: He uses the radio.
Bose: You're right.
Itoi: This is a episode of development.
(...)
Itoi: It is that there were no cellphones at that time.
Nagata "A boy with a red cap will go there and..."
Itoi: He's doing a little handsome.
(The captain leaves the room)
Bose: Ohh, we did it.
(...)
Nagata: And we're going to save.
Itoi: And go to Twoson. It's the end of the plan.
Nagata: If we finish, we'd better stop here.
Itoi: (going by the officers)Will they promise us?
(...)
Itoi: Oh, yes, yes, I remember I wrote this.
Nagata: You say you remember.
Bose: Today I had just been to the lecture of driver's license because of point system.<3:25:24>
Itoi: Really? Take it easy.
Bose: This scene has same atmosphere as there. It's childish for her to say "Issueing traffic tickets is fun."
Itoi: Let's save.
Bose: He's still there.
Nagata: It's Frank. ...You'll go to the hotel?
Bose: Yes.
Nagata: Go to east. East.
Bose: I'll save.(Itoi is whistling the tune of the hotel's music)
Itoi: Ness is so rich. ...Though he has only three dollars in pocket.
Bose: Two dollars? Three?
Nagata: Choose "Finish".
Bose: "Finish." ...Oh.
Itoi: It's kind of sad. If you play it alone, you would go on all the time.
Bose: Does this message mean I should turn it off?
Itoi: The end.
Bose: Turn off...the power... ...We're back to the home menu. And I have to touch "close the application".
Itoi: I'm sad.
Bose: I'll leave this alone.
Toda: I wanted to watch this forever.
Bose: Forever? Going on through three days and three nights?<3:26:58>
Itoi: Oh, well.
Nagata: It's time.
(members clapping)
(the game screen fades out)
Itoi: Onett is the most common town. There aren't many strange things.
Nagata: It's an orthodox town.
Itoi: You would learn the system of the game in Onett. On the way to Threed you'd meet strange adults.
Bose: Adults.
Itoi: Yes. ...That happens when Ness meets his girlfriend.
Nagata: Meets "Ribbon-chan".
Itoi: Ribbon-chan. ...Most of these Twitterers have played this!
Nagata: Yeah. Some of them knew this when they played Smash Bros.
Toda: Didn't we say spoilers?
Nagata: Yes, we didn't.
Itoi: Aren't we guilty? (...)
Bose: It's a good beginning to know about this game.<3:28:06>
Bose: Players would find it amazing in the unusual towns later.
Itoi: At first it shows the usual American movie's atmosphere.
Nagata: There is the usual fun in the entire story.
Toda: In the prologue Starman Junior, an unusual thing, appears once and the usual life comes back.
Itoi: Normal boy's life.
Toda: Musics make normal atmosphere.
Bose: Sometimes you may feel dizzy when you play it. For example when you go to next town. It surprised me.
Itoi: Since you arrived at Twoson.
Toda: People who watched us could want to play it.
Itoi: Most of them have already played, haven't they?
Toda: People who doesn't have it may want it.
Itoi: Is anyone who haven't played it here?
Bose's wife: I...
Bose: Haven't.
Itoi: Why not?
Bose: Let's.
Bose's wife: I don't play games so much these days. But I found it's exciting to see everyone played it together. These adults was chatting and playing...
Itoi: So you married Bose?
Bose: Sometimes I and she hold parties like this. The other day we and her friends got together after a long time and one of them brought SNES. I found it very exciting to play with a group. We played matches in old puzzle game and Street Fighter II.
Itoi: St II.
Bose: There was an atmosphere we could have played Mother.<3:29:47>
